Abstract

|
The author studied the, uptake of radioactive phosphorus by Clonorchis sinensis in vitro.
In fhe present studies, the metacercaria of C. sinensis were obtained from Pseudorasbora parva infected naturally by the acid-pepsin digestion procedure. The excysted larvae were obtained by treating the metacercaria with pancreatin-trypsin. The immature and mature worms of C. sinensis were isolated from the rabbits 20 days and 60 days after infecting with metacercaria.
Experimental data obtained were summerized as follows:
(1) The encysted and excysted larvae of Cs sinensis took up 22P slightly, but the immature and mature worms showed marked uptake. The rate of 32P uptake of mature worms was much greater than that of immature worms.
(2) 32P uptake by mature worms was accelerated remarkably by adenosine triphosphate, but inhibited slightly by c¢¥ilorpromazine. 2, 4-Dinitrophenol and bile had no marked effects on a2P uptake by mature worms.
(3) The accelerating effect of adenosoine triphosphate on 32P uptake by mature worms was not influenced by bile, but slightly reduced by chlorpromazine and makedly by 24-dinitrophenol.
